Is the travel agency a good option for tourists in Brazil?
Brazil, such a large country that it is impossible to visit in a week, in which tourism has become an undeniable economic asset. A country that suits both a young Indiana Jones in search of adventure in the Amazon forest and a Western tourist who doesn't want to do anything but sunbathe on Copacabana while listening to Gilberto Gil in his iPhone 11.

Now the most difficult thing is to choose the way you will travel, based on a local or international travel agency. I will try to give you the advantages and disadvantages of both options according to my experience and that of relatives.
In search of adventures, with friends we decided to make a 10-day trip to the Nordeste region. Being 17, we decided to go through an agency to organize our trip from Sao Luis to Jericoacoara. The advantage was that we had nothing to think about, just let ourselves be guided by "Brazil Ecotour", the Brazilian agency. Of course, we probably paid more than if we had taken care of it ourselves, but as there were 17 of us, the organization of the agency was very beneficial to us. But unfortunately, nobody spoke Portuguese in the group except a few people who managed, and the guides did not speak English, so it was difficult to understand the guides so to learn about this region.
Concerning a Brazilian trip with an international agency, Thomas Cook, my parents and friends made 20 days of travel in a large part of Brazil (Bahia, Brasilia, Iguazu, Ilha Grande and Rio). The situation was much the same in a few details, they had guides speaking English and French, which allowed them to understand the stories of the country. On the other hand, they told me that the prices were essentially the same as in France, but having lived in Brazil for 5 months, I know that the prices are much lower for all thing’s food and drink.
To conclude, on the same price basis between agencies, all you have to do is make your choice, have a good trip.
